About Us

AI Ready ASEAN is the flagship digital empowerment initiative of the ASEAN Foundation running from 2024 to 2026, supported by a USD 5 million grant from Google.org. The programme aims to build a future-ready ASEAN by advancing AI literacy and ethical awareness through a multi-pronged approach encompassing research, policy dialogues, inclusive training, and regional awareness campaigns. With a goal to inspire 5.5 million people across Southeast Asia to explore and learn about AI, the initiative will also train 2,000 facilitators to deliver in-depth, localised AI literacy sessions to 800,000 youth, parents, and educators, especially in underserved communities across all ten ASEAN Member States.
