01 What is the AI Ready ASEAN Programme?

AI Ready ASEAN is a regional initiative by the ASEAN Foundation, supported by Google.org, aimed at building AI literacy across the ASEAN region. Backed by a USD 5 million grant, this 2.5-year programme seeks to equip 5.5 million people—including youth, educators, and parents—from all ten ASEAN Member States with essential AI skills. The programme empowers participants to navigate the digital era and adopt AI responsibly and ethically.

01 Why did AI Ready ASEAN make AI Class ASEAN?

To support the programme’s mission of promoting responsible AI use among youth, educators, and parents, the ASEAN Foundation launched AI Class ASEAN, an e-learning platform designed to make AI literacy more accessible and sustainable. It empowers ASEAN citizens with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.

02 Who can learn on AI Class ASEAN?

AI Class ASEAN is free and open to all ASEAN youth, educators, and parents, regardless of background or experience.

03 What will I gain from AI Class ASEAN?

AI Class ASEAN offers a variety of courses and modules on AI literacy and related topics, curated for each audience — youth, educators, and parents. In each chapter, you'll go through learning materials (such as presentation decks and training videos), complete a short assessment, and earn a badge. Once you collect all the badges, you can download a certificate of completion.

04 Do I need to have a technology background to learn on AI Class ASEAN?

Not at all! AI Class ASEAN is designed for everyone, regardless of their background. No prior knowledge of AI or technology is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

05 I'm not fluent in English. Can I still learn on AI Class ASEAN?

Absolutely! AI Class ASEAN is an inclusive platform, with content available in the national languages of all 10 ASEAN Member States.
